A well-balanced sports programme goes a long way in creating high performing and lifelong athletes and more importantly healthy and fit individuals. As banal as these statements may sound, the truth in them is indisputable. Although unfortunately, it has been my experience, visiting various sporting academies and speaking with innumerable sports coaches that many sports programmes as well as the coaches delivering those programmes spend a large amount of their time delivering an UNBALANCED programme.
